The Australian Centre for Genomic Epidemiological Microbiology (AusGEM) is a strategic research collaboration between the Australian Institute for Microbiology and Infection (AIMI)<\/b><\/a><\/u><\/span> <\/b>at the University of Technology Sydney and the Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute (EMAI)<\/b><\/a><\/u><\/span> of the NSW Department of Primary Industries.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Combining AIMI\u2019s expertise in genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic technologies” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Combining AIMI\u2019s expertise in genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic technologies with EMAI’s disease control and outreach knowledge, AusGEM is building a better understanding of pathogen evolution and transmission in plants, animals, and humans, assisting in the development of more effective ways to manage threats posed by pests and diseases.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text admin_label=”About AIMI content” _builder_version=”4.27.3″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”rgba(36,46,77,0.1)” custom_padding=”20px|20px|20px|20px|true|true” link_option_url=”https:\/\/www.uts.edu.au\/research\/australian-institute-microbiology-infection” link_option_url_new_window=”on” background_last_edited=”off|desktop” border_radii=”on|10px|10px|10px|10px” global_colors_info=”{}” background__hover_enabled=”on|hover” background_color__hover=”rgba(36,46,77,0.2)” background_enable_color__hover=”on”]<\/p>\n Based at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), AIMI\u2019s team of scientists focus on discovery and applied research to build an understanding of how microbes grow, live, adapt and survive.
